SpaceClaim Announces Immediate Availability of SpaceClaim Professional 2007 for Mechanical Design

Techshot™ Chooses SpaceClaim for its Conceptual Design Flexibility and Workflow Fit

CONCORD, MA – 30 March 2007 – SpaceClaim Corp. today announced the immediate availability of SpaceClaim Professional 2007, offering a modern, open 3D mechanical design solution for those who contribute directly to product development. SpaceClaim Professional 2007 establishes technology leadership through a highly-flexible design environment, geometric inferencing for real-time design hints, an integrated parts and assembly workspace for top-down design, and an open XML data model that ensures long-term protection of customer data.

“Techshot provides innovative engineering and design services to a variety of government and commercial enterprises. We needed a conceptual design tool that our engineers and scientists could use. Our team’s creativity in developing solutions to very challenging problems requires a truly flexible modeling environment and one that is suitable for part-time use since design is only one aspect of their engineering contributions,” said Mark S. Deuser, Co-founder, President, CEO of Techshot. “We chose SpaceClaim because it meets these requirements. Our CAD specialists are also pleased that they can receive more accurate 3D design input to start their detail design.”

“We are introducing SpaceClaim Professional 2007 in response to a growing need for accessible 3D within manufacturing organizations and across the supply chain,” commented SpaceClaim Corp. COO Michael McGuinness. “These organizations recognize the benefits of design contributors—such as suppliers, manufacturing engineers, analysis engineers, and engineering management—working in 3D. Because these groups lack access or time to master the designer’s CAD system, they need a tool that is intuitive to use, open, and fits within their design process. SpaceClaim Professional 2007 meets these needs.”

The product is available world-wide for purchase in English and Japanese languages and for download directly from the company web site, www.spaceclaim.com.
